I grew up at 316 W. Mahoning Street. I was blessed to be raised in a loving, Christian home. However, I did not realize at the time how important the number 316 (three sixteen) would be in my life.

Years later, I was searching for material to use for the PLC “OK Club” Bible study. I selected the book 3:16 by Max Lucado. All of a sudden it dawned on me—my childhood address was the same as the “Bible-in-a-nutshell address,” as Pastor Borgie would call it: John 3:16.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have life everlasting.”

As I pondered over the connection, I realized that God has always been there for me as He is for all people. All we need to do is accept the gift of His Son and BELIEVE (as Pastor Sean highlighted at Easter).

This number, 316 is a special reminder for me. For instance, the other night I could not sleep. I looked at my clock. It was 3:16! I smiled. God was reminding me again of His love and care. It is amazing how often this number pops up in my life. Do you have a reminder in your life that helps you remember God is always there?

Thank you, Lord, for reminding us in so many ways, that You are always by our side.
