The Interim Director Hiring Committee and the Preschool Committee are excited to announce that Jennifer Kelly has been selected as the Interim Director of PCP! The Hiring Committee was formed back in November to undertake the process of identifying a candidate to lead the school when Tori Manning ended her time as director in October.
The Hiring Committee evaluated 16 applicants and offered interviews to four of the candidates. At the end of a thorough process, the committee came to a unanimous and enthusiastic recommendation. The Preschool Committee also endorsed this recommendation.
Jenny holds a BS in Education and has 26 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator, with experience as a Director, Staff Coach, Supervising Teacher, and Lead Teacher. Most of her experience in the field has been right here at PCP. It was clear to the Hiring Committee that Jenny’s experience at the school, alignment with the school’s educational philosophy, and commitment to seeing a supportive relationship between our church and school made her the right choice for our school. Jenny will lead the school through July 1, 2023 or until a regular director is hired. The search for a regular director will commence in Fall 2022.
We are very proud of the strength and resilience of our school staff over these last two months. Our school has a rich history of serving the families of our community and a bright future ahead!
