“… I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” -Isaiah 41:13
Every parent has at one time or another grabbed the hand of their child to help them cross the street, to calm their nerves at the door of a new classroom or to pull them close out of harm’s way. This month’s verse from Isaiah holds a promise from our heavenly Father demonstrating that He is prepared to do the same for each of us, His children. Where do we turn when we are overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of help? God wants us to turn to Him and His open hand because “[He] is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” -Psalm 46:1
This month as we pray:
- Praise God for His constant faithfulness.
- Rest and meditate before God seeking His hand.
- Pray for the lost that they may come to know the unconditional love of Christ.
