Vacation Bible School

The highlight of every summer for children’s ministry at Peñasquitos Lutheran Church is Vacation Bible School! Children who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall up through 6th grade are welcome to attend. We have six fun filled days…where we play hard on the playground, sing a lot about Jesus, get creative in the craft room, eat delicious snacks, learn about the Bible and the message it has for us, and most importantly...we learn how to live a life that makes God happy! There is lots of laughter, big smiles, and everyone is loved to pieces! At the end of the week, parents enjoy a musical program featuring the VBS kids and then celebrate with a carnival in PLC's parking lot. It's loads of non-stop fun wrapped in joyful expressions of the love of Jesus!

You do not need to be a member of Peñasquitos Lutheran Church for your child to participate. In fact, over two thirds of our VBS registration last summer came from the community! You will probably find your school friends here this summer!

Pre-registration is required and all students who register before the closing deadline of July 7th will be able to participate. For safety reasons, we do not accept late registrations. All registrants will receive an information packet in the mail by July 21. There is no fee for VBS at PLC. However, we do accept donations (a gift from your heart) to help with some of the expenses. Suggestions for donations are included in the mailed info packet as well as a T-shirt iron-on and all the particulars of daily attendance. If you would like more information prior to registration, e-mail the Director of Children's Ministry or call the church office at (858) 672-3466.
