“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” -Isaiah 45:22
In today’s world, there is certainly an excess of things to worry about. Parts of the world are reeling from natural disasters, global tension is rising among world leaders, and our own country is struggling with divisive issues. Then there are our own personal worries about family strife, sickness, or financial burdens. This verse from the book of Isaiah holds an incredible promise, “Turn to me and be saved.” Isaiah was talking about the ultimate salvation of mankind, but there are times when we also need to be saved from the day-to-day realities of life. Turning to God and seeking His face in prayer has the power to change earthly situations and to infuse His healing, hope, and grace into this world.
This month as we pray:
- Praise God for His sovereignty in all situations (for [He] is God, and there is no other).
- Choose one or two situations/people that God has laid on your heart and pray expectantly for them each day this month. It could be a world need or a personal need.
- Pray for the young adults in our congregation who are preparing for their Rite of Confirmation at the end of this month.
