June 2018 Prayer Devotional

“…But while Joseph was there in the prison, the Lord was with him; He showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.” -Genesis 39: 20-21
This month the young people of our congregation through the ministry of C-MENT are bringing the familiar story of Joseph and his brothers to life. Joseph’s life takes many unexpected turns, first by the hands of his own brothers when he is sold into slavery, and then by Potiphar and his deceptive wife when Joseph is imprisoned. This scripture passage from the book of Genesis declares that even while Joseph was in prison, the Lord was with him working on his behalf. Many times we find ourselves in situations that we did not plan or expect, but we also can be sure of God’s promise to be near working to bring good out of these seasons of life.
This month join us as we pray for:
  • The C-MENT ministry and their upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (June 21-23)
  • The Lunch Bunch Ministry as they serve meals and minister to families in the community this summer
  • The youth of the church as they transition from the end of the school year into summer
  • Families as they vacation and spend time together
  • Visitors to our city and to our church.
