National Day of Prayer

National & Global Day of Prayer - May 11th

May 1st is the National Day of Prayer as well as the beginning of the ten days of preparation for the Global Day of Prayer, which is more than just a day - it is actually 100 days. There are ten days of preparation (May 1-10), the one Day of Global Prayer (May 11), and then 90 days of blessing (May 12 - August 9). As in the first Pentecost, transformed Christians transformed their communities offering themselves to God as instruments through which their prayers can be answered. Today, prayer can be transformed to our communities!

During the days of May 1-10 we will have the prayer room available from noon-5:00 p.m. at the church for those who want to come in and pray. Prayer guides for the Global Day of Prayer are available on the counter in the Fellowship Hall. In this guide there are suggestions for each day.

I invite you to participate in this emphasis of repentance and prayer. Some of you will be asking, "Didn't we just have ReignDownUSA?" Yes, we did. They are not in conflict because the Holy Spirit is doing work in the Church around the world calling us to earnestly pray for our nation and the world.

"Come. O Lord, and pour out Your Holy Spirit upon the nations of the world. Do Your work in us, O Lord, to Your glory; in Jesus' Name. Amen"

Questions or concerns should be directed to Roseanna 672-3466 ext. 207. Parents of 7th grade students who are not currently enrolled in "Confirmation" are also encouraged to attend.
