Faith Walk

faith-walk-logoThis new series of classes will provide a solid foundation in what it means to be a follower of Jesus. While using the same series of books, these four sessions are designed as stand-alone studies. Each class will use a small group format.

Whether you began attending Faith Walk in January or are starting for the first time this summer, you can use the diagram below to choose which Faith Walk class to attend.

Faith Walk:  The Beginning

Meets Wednesdays, June 14 – July 19, 2017

from 6:00-8:00 pm

First in the series of Faith Walk classes, this class is a great follow on to The Alpha Course, so we are starting the series again and forming new small groups this summer! Explore the foundations of being a follower of Jesus. Engage in the Bible through story, teaching, and discussion on how the truths presented apply in everyday life. You’ll have opportunities to connect with God personally and deepen your relationship with Him during the week and with your group. Spiritual growth will happen as you consistently study God’s word. This class will use the book, Disciples Path: The Beginning.

Faith Walk:  The Truth

Meets Wednesdays, June 14 – July 19, 2017

from 6:00-8:00 pm

Faith Walk groups that began in January 2017 continue in this session that will help answer the question, “What does a follower of Jesus believe?” Many people claim to be Christians, but do they really know the doctrines of the faith? We’ll take a deeper dive into the core doctrines: God as triune Creator, the reality of sin, the person and work of Christ, the kingdom of God, and the church. This class will use the book, Disciples Path: The Truth.

  • Cost: $35/person (includes dinner & workbook)
  • Free childcare for ages 1 – 12!

Faith Walk:  The Way & The Call

Meets Wednesdays, Sep 6 – Nov 15, 2017

from 6:00-8:00 pm

New Faith Walk groups starting this summer will continue in the fall with The Way & The Call. The first half of this study will focus on the way Jesus calls, teaches, equips, and sends his followers as we walk through the Gospels. The remaining half will focus on who Jesus is, what he did, and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We’ll look at what it means to be a disciple of Christ, the priorities of a disciple, the cost of being a disciple, and the fruit of a disciple. This class will use the books, Disciples Path: The Way and Disciples Path: The Call.

  • Cost: $45/person (includes dinner & workbooks)
  • Free childcare for ages 1 – 12!
  • Registration will open in summer of 2017.

Faith Walk:  The Life & The Mission

Meets Wednesdays, Sept. 6 – Nov. 15, 2017

from 6:00-8:00 pm

Completing the Faith Walk series, the first half of this session will focus on answering the question, “What does a follower of Jesus do in relationship with God?” We’ll discuss and practice these spiritual disciplines: reading the Bible, prayer, community, serving, and evangelism. We’ll explore both individual disciplines and the disciplines of community life.

During the second half of the session, we’ll explore the question, “What does a follower of Jesus do in relationship with the world?” Knowledge and community are only good as much as they serve a disciple on his or her mission. This study begins and ends with Jesus as he guides us along the journey to be in mission with Him. This class will use the books, Disciples Path: The Life and Disciples Path: The Mission.

  • Cost: $45/person (includes dinner & workbooks)
  • Free childcare for ages 1 – 12!
  • Registration will open in summer of 2017.
